Making Peace with Destiny: Bringing MT into Your Translation Solutions

Tuesday, 22 March, 2016 - 09:00

Multilingual chat, customer support, eCommunities, and blogs are just a few ways MT is used to cross the last barrier to doing business – language. The growing willingness of consumers to accept “good-enough” translation in exchange for immediate access has propelled the acceptability of MT, though quality is still a concern. Baseline auto-translation and trained MT systems are now allowing companies to provide immediate, higher quality translations. Is the future we dreamt about 5 years ago already here? Is MT our destiny? This KnowledgeFest will feature discussions around how auto-translation is used to enable global business and how language solutions will incorporate MT in the future. Discussion tables will also include measuring MT quality, setting realistic expectations with stakeholders, and more.
