Translation Bureau of Canada - Quality First
The Translation Bureau’s modernized vision involves maintaining its place as the centre of excellence in linguistic services for the Government of Canada and globally. This is based primarily on important legislation which mandates that departments ensure the transparent availability of bilingual government content for all Canadians. This has created challenging dichotomies where quality is concerned given today’s emergence of disruptive language technologies like machine translation, big data, and economic pressures. Canadians expect equal content quality in both official languages (English and French), and there is little tolerance for low quality content. How can we strike the right balance across timeliness, content quality, and cost and still achieve superior outcomes?
