Discovering e-Discovery: Machine Translation and Litigation
When litigation occurs between multinational corporations and non-English languages are involved, the process becomes complicated and costly. We wanted to figure out a way to leverage language technology in the e-discovery process, saving time, money, and stress for all involved. This session elaborates on the work undertaken with end-users including attorneys, paralegals, e-discovery platform providers, and internal production teams to create a plug-in and new content lifecycle specifically for machine translation and litigation, with subsequent human translation as necessary. The session will explain how this new content lifecycle makes it easier for end users to obtain output in English in a scalable, affordable, and quality manner for use in court proceedings.
