Challenges in Web Localization for Corporations and Language Service Providers

Tuesday, 28 March, 2017 - 11:00

Web localization projects today are embedded into content marketing and marketing automation strategies. They are characterized by an increased volume of content, though individual jobs tend to be smaller, more frequent, and have shorter turnaround times. From the lack of an internationalization and localization strategy to the absence of clearly defined processes, workflows and responsibilities, to missing interfaces between website management and translation management systems, the challenges are many to both corporations and language service providers.

In this roundtable discussion, representatives of corporations and language service providers will have the chance to exchange their experiences, ideas, and requirements when it comes to successfully localizing websites. The topics covered will include overall strategies, best practices for processes, data exchange, formats, review, quality assurance, and more.
