GALA Members Approve Revised Bylaws

By: GALA Team, Information

Dear GALA Members,

We are pleased to report that the membership has approved the recently proposed bylaws changes, most notably to grant voting privileges to corporate and academic members. The changes were proposed to emphasize collaboration and community, which we increasingly see as drivers of progress and innovation in our industry. They are also essential to realizing our organizational mission: to support our members and the language industry by creating communities, championing standards, sharing knowledge, and advancing technology.

Now it’s time to look ahead. Our next step is to engage you, our members, on a deeper level. This September, GALA will launch a new website platform that is designed to promote engagement on many levels. The GALA platform will enhance member visibility, facilitate member-to-member connections, and empower community initiatives through collaborative groups and forums. It will amplify the “desktop value” that GALA provides, and it will improve our ability to serve diverse member companies around the globe.

At the most fundamental level, GALA exists for and because of its member companies. We deeply appreciate your trust, support, and investment in the organization thus far, and we look forward to the years ahead, growing with you to serve this dynamic industry.

Best regards,
The GALA Board of Directors
