The GALA 2019 Event App

Delegates love connecting through GALA’s event app, with an adoption rate last year of 90%. As part of our commitment to strengthening our member value, we have decided to provide a more convenient, sleek, and usable app for GALA 2019 Munich. Whether you have used our event app in the past or are just trying it out for the first time, here are some tips and tricks to make sure you get the most out of it.

How do I download the app?
Registered delegates can download the app by going to the app store (iOS or Android). Search for GALA 2019 and download the app. After entering your name, you’ll receive a verification code via email. Enter the code and you will be ready to start using the app! Be sure to log-in to be able to use all of the features.
How do I start a discussion?
The Activity Feed is the main communication forum for all delegates. For example, if you want some company on your morning walk, simply navigate to the Event Feed, click on the “+” icon in the bottom right corner, and start contributing. Others will choose to join you by clicking on your post and commenting with their interest.
How do I connect with other attendees?
Simply search for a delegate in the Attendees section. From their profile, you can exchange contact details in-app, send a message, and set up a time and place to meet. (We suggest picking a specific exhibit stand to meet at to avoid confusion or missed connections.) When someone requests your contact info, you will receive a notification and can manage your connections in the My Contacts section.
Where is my schedule?
Under the Schedule icon, the full conference schedule is displayed. Customize your schedule by clicking the “+” button. Anything you have added will show up in the My Schedule tab. You will also be able to see invitation requests in the Invitations tab.
How do I leave feedback?
Feedback is encouraged throughout the conference since it helps us to refine our offerings. Select the title of the session you're attending and click on "Check-ins". After each session you attend, click on that session and leave us some feedback under the Surveys section.
Once the conference is complete, you will be able to take the post-conference survey about your overall conference experience using the in-app icon. Please note your feedback is not anonymous to admins but won’t be shared publicly. 
How does social sharing work?
Anything that is shared to the Event Feed can also be shared on your external social media platforms, should you choose to do so. Until then, your posts will remain in the event app only. Share to the outside world by clicking on the “…” icon on the bottom right of your post and then click Share to Social.
How do I get my tweet to show up in the Social Wall?
Simply add the hashtag #GALAMunich to your tweets!
