Transportation

Airport Transfers

GALA has arranged two options for transportation between Nice Côte d'Azur Airport and Monaco. Both companies will meet and greet you with a sign near the information desk in arrivals/baggage claim. The travel time from the airport in Nice to Le Méridien Beach Plaza in Monte Carlo is between 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. If you plan to use the shared van option, please add another 20-25 minutes of transportation time when arranging the pick-up time for your return trip to the airport. GALA suggests making reservations early to ensure availability.

Enter “GALA” when you get to the discount code section. Your 5% discount will be reflected in your total at check-out.

Public Transportation

NEW! Bus 110 (Monaco/Menton Express) picks up at either terminal and for 19 € can take you right to Le Méridien Beach Plaza. (Mention your hotel to the driver.)

You may wish to consider the train as an alternative to transfer by car. There are three train stations in Nice, and depending on where you start and which you choose, it is a short, 10 minute walk, or a brief bus ride from the airport terminal to the train station. Please review TER/SNCF's bus-to-train information for directions from the airport to the three Nice train stations. (Note that at the Nice Ville station, you will look for the SNCF train going toward Ventimiglia/Vintimille.) Your stop will be Monaco and your train ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The trip should cost less than 4€, depending on whether you walk or take a bus to the train station. Monaco's railway station (Gare SNCF) is on avenue Prince Pierre. It is an uphill walk from the train station to Monte Carlo. If you'd rather take a taxi but can't find one at the station, you can call tel. 377-93-15-01-01.

Getting Around Monaco

The best way to get around Monaco is by foot or by bus (see www.cam.mc for detailed information on the Monaco bus system). You can buy bus tickets, which cost 1.80 € per ride, directly on the bus. Bus stops are set up every few blocks on the main streets in town, including boulevard Albert-1er, avenue St-Martin in Monaco-Ville, and boulevard des Moulins in Monte Carlo. With 142 bus stops in the principality, buses go to all the major tourist sights; just look at the front of the bus to see the destination.
