Women in Localization PNW - Zero to Forty
Entrepreneurship in the Localization Industry
Thursday, 22 March, 2018 6:30PM to 8:30PM
Please join us for the Women in Loc PNW Spring event on March 22nd in the Concur office in Bellevue to hear Hanna Golota of Globalme share her experience as a woman entrepreneur in the localization industry. She will talk about how she and her partner founded the company in 2009 and how they grew it into the unique company it has now become, reflecting on both the challenges and opportunities she encountered along the way.
Hanna started her career in localization as a QA tester for Polish language while she was doing her MBA. She co-founded Globalme in 2009 with her husband providing localization staffing services to various language service providers in the NW Region. They traveled and worked from all around the world while growing their customer and service base.
In 2012, the two decided to accelerate the growth and hired their first employee. Globalme quickly outgrew the initial service focus on localization QA testing services and became an end-to-end localization agency. Listed in Canada and British Columbia as one of the fastest growing companies for three years in a row, Globalme grew to over 40 full time employees by the end of 2017. Today, with its sharp focus on innovation, Globalme is shaping the future of language and data services for emerging technologies, speech and AI.
At 8:30 we plan to go to the Cypress Lounge in the Westin Hotel, Bellevue.
We are looking forward to seeing you all there.
