Personal Statement

GALA has been my networking home since founding Word Connection in 2015.  I am honoured to have been nominated for GALA board membership and I am excited by the responsibility that membership would bring. In recent years, my focus has centred on learning opportunities within the translation community. I am keen to explore the possibilities for collaboration in the appropriate education of Japanese translators and localizers. Through the development of more effective training, I can help to ensure that European businesses receive the highest quality Japanese translation services. A position on the GALA board would enable me to foster improved learning facilities for future industry professionals.

Co-operation and team work are vital to our industry. GALA has always championed diversity, equality and inclusion. I would relish the opportunity to assist GALA in creating an even more inclusive and dynamic community. One which benefits from the greater understanding of Japanese translation that I can contribute together with my passion for building global alliances. I believe that as a member of the GALA board, I can utilise my experience and specialist knowledge to further the support that the organisation provides.
