Support the Initiative

A serious, sustainable effort requires professional staffing and infrastructure. The GALA Standards Initiative is is an ambitious plan with many deliverables entirely supported by industry contributions. Minimal annual funding is US$ 100,000. With greater funding levels, the Initiative will be able to accomplish more. For the 2011–2012 year, minimal funding levels will enable the following:

  • Development of the Linport format and basic tools to support use of Linport
  • Development of the GALA Model Service Elements online repository and release of the first stable release (March 2012) plus business tools for using the resources
  • Coordination of standards activities and representation from the industry to standards bodies

By participating, you help ensure that meaningful standards work takes place in our industry and that this development is responsive to your needs and concerns.
