Echo International Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Underscores Commitment to Quality Assurance

PITTSBURGH, PA  USA—August 17, 2010—Echo International announced today that it recently received its ISO 9001:2008 Certificate of Registration following a comprehensive ISO audit in late June to assess their implemented system of policies, processes, procedures, tools, and roles and responsibilities. By successfully achieving certification, Echo International has demonstrated their commitment to quality and to the continuous improvement of their quality management system.

Under the direction of Wada’a Fahel, Director of Translation and Localization, the Echo International staff underwent a complicated certification process that included a quality management system and documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of nonconformities. The Echo International production team’s detailed documentation of their business processes and procedures met the ISO 9001:2008 standard with no nonconformities. “These processes will ensure that we are achieving the highest possible quality in the translations we deliver to our customers,” said Les Dutka, CEO. “Ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty is our first priority.”
