Leading language associations, covering both Europe and North America, agree to closer ties
GALA
Seattle, USA and Rimini, Italy -- The European Language
Industry Association (ELIA) and the Globalization and Localization
Association (GALA) today announced a cooperation agreement to collaborate
on events and marketing activities that will provide increased benefit to
each association's members. The agreement will commence in 2008 with three

the European region. This agreement is designed to increase the
associations' coverage and enhance communications of their respective
activities.
ELIA has built an excellent reputation for its well
attended and favorably sponsored training and networking programs. These
comprise of three intense Networking/workshop days located in main
European cities designed to attract language and associated service
providers. The fruits of the ELIA/GALA collaboration will first be seen at
the Networking Days event in Paris (ND4), but future activities include
Networking Days in Ljubljana (ND5) in the summer and an autumn event at a
yet undetermined southern European location. More details on the events
