Company description: Sandberg Translation Partners Ltd (better known as STP Nordic) was founded in 1995 and is a BS EN 15038-certified company. We have built up a strong niche position and reputation as a reliable and service-minded provider of high-quality translation and localisation services between Danish, English, Finnish, French, German, Norwegian and Swedish. We translate 20+ million words every year to and from the Nordic languages for other translation companies around the world.

Senior management
The four senior managers of STP Nordic are all fully qualified translators with a combined 60+ years of industry experience, covering every role needed in a modern translation company.

Project managers
Like our translators, all our project coordinators and project managers are graduate linguists, many of them with hands-on translating experience. Thanks to their outstanding communication skills and excellent linguistic, technical and human resource management they ensure the smooth running of STP's approx. 7,000 translation projects a year.

Translators
Our in-house translators are all high-calibre linguists, typically educated to MA level. They work in a supportive peer environment and have excellent and very extensive technical and linguistic resources at their disposal to translate, revise and edit a wide range of text types. We have 4-6 translators in each of our in-house language teams (Danish, English, Finnish, Norwegian and Finnish). They generally handle approximately one third of STP's language work, and to ensure consistency, continuity and high capacity for all our clients we supplement our in-house capacity with an excellent group of closely affiliated core freelancers who have a similar background and skill set.

Technical resources
We continually invest in the most up-to-date computer-assisted translation (CAT) technology and regularly develop technological solutions to enable us to provide even better service and actively respond to individual client needs. We are all experienced users of the core Trados programs and many other CAT tools, and we make good use of a Trados TM Server deployment on our intranet. Our internally developed project management software provides sophisticated workflow automation and management, and we are increasingly supplementing commercial CAT tools with our own technology for purposes such as file format conversion, document preparation and terminological consistency checking in ways that are fully integrated into project workflow.

Quality
As of early 2011, STP Nordic is entering its fourth year of trading as a Bureau Veritas-certified translation company according to the BS EN 15038 standard. This is the visible proof of the guarantee we give all our clients, i.e. that we are highly competent and qualified, will execute all assignments following industry best practice, have a solid QA system and review practices in place and will continually strive to improve our service. Our complaints percentage has been well below our target of 0.5% of all projects completed in each of the last three years, and at each annual certification audit we have passed with flying colours, i.e. no or few remarks or suggestions for improvement.
