Company description: Palex was founded in 2002 by a team comprised of an engineer, a translator, and a software localizer.

Palex owes its sustainable productivity and turnover levels to the unique strengths that each team member has brought to the company.

Pavel Koshak embarked on a career in localization in 2000 after receiving a degree in radio engineering. Pavel has experience in workflow automation, project management, and translation. He has worked on localization projects for both military and consumer products. Pavel founded Palex to take on the challenge of providing top-notch service at every point in the localization process. Later, he brought in Aleksey Chernobay and Julia Makoushina as full partners with the highly specialized skills that the company needed to grow.

Aleksey Chernobay began his career as a technical translator in 1998, parallel to being a sales engineer for an SCS development department. He was promoted to Product Manager in the same department after showing a talent for client relations and publicity. Aleksey set development goals, created advertising materials, and represented the company at exhibitions. Later, he was put in charge of marketing, as well. By 2002, he had an excellent track record in localization, along with experience in sales and client relations. He has brought these skill sets to Palex as Marketing and Business Development Manager.

Julia Makoushina has been in localization since 1993. She holds a master\'s degree in software development and has worked as a software developer, software tester, freelance and in-house translator and proofreader, localization engineer, and localization project manager. She speaks several languages and has hands-on experience at all stages of the localization process, from translation and proofreading to engineering and testing. Having worked on-site for several clients, she obtained the insight of the localization "underside". Julia is Operations Director of Palex, and her colleagues benefit on a daily basis from her wealth of knowledge and experience.

In 2002, Palex signed an agreement with Digital Printing Division of Samsung Electronics to become its main vendor in localization of software and documentation for Samsung printers.

By 2004, Palex had quadrupled in size, with five times the number of customers and a ten-fold increase in turnover.

Today, Palex's 68 employees work in a beautiful, modern office backed up by wonderful infrastructure, and over 400 vendors located around the world work for Palex to provide localization into more than 50 languages.
