2005 GALA Annual Meeting (Seattle): 2006 GALA Board members
Seattle, Washington, USA (15 September 2011) -- The Globalization and Localization Association is currently accepting candidates for four open positions on the association’s Board of Directors. Individuals from full member companies are invited to submit their candidacy by 23 September 2011. The term of office is for two years: 1 January 2012 through 31 December 2013. Candidates should be at the decision-maker level and endorsed by their company.
The GALA Board is responsible for overall policy and direction of the association. It has final and complete control over decisions made by the association, including the areas of finance, legal matters, administration, personnel and others. The Board of Directors meets regularly to discuss the association's affairs and to make decisions on its business. Candidates for the board member positions must be able to commit to:
Candidate statements and brief biographies will be posted to the GALA website in early October. GALA will then submit ballots to the primary contacts of full GALA member companies to elect the four board members by the majority of votes cast (one vote per full member company).
As a worldwide organization, GALA strives to have as broad a geographic representation as possible on the board and looks forward to welcoming new and dynamic members who are ready to contribute to the shape and direction of GALA.
