With 15 years of high-tech and start-up experience, serving clients and partners of all sizes in a broad range of global markets, I have a strong record of relationship building and an extensive network of contacts throughout the business world. As the CEO of Clay Tablet Technologies, I have the unique position of working with companies from every aspect of the localization industry, forming strong bonds with technology companies, service providers, analysts, media and governmental agencies.

I'm very excited about the opportunity to serve the localization industry as a member of the GALA board. I'm relatively new to the industry, with a mere 3 years of immersion, but have been constantly impressed by the energy, creativity and professionalism of the people I've met so far. To give back to the industry so soon is a wonderful opportunity, and for that chance, I would be thankful.

As a long-time hi-tech professional, entrepreneur and technologist, I walk into the translation world with no sacred cows in tow, no baggage aboard and no pre-conceived notions of what's not possible, allowing a distinctly fresh perspective to this role. As a supremely pragmatic entrepreneur, I'm used to doing more with less and finding unique clever solutions that achieve maximal results. And as a hard-core sales and marketing professional turned CEO, I have the drive and skill-set tailor-made to help GALA increase its visibility both within the industry and the corporate world at large.

I see the translation industry on the cusp of substantial growth - both in size and stature. The growing acknowledgment that localization is a critical aspect in global business success dictates that both global organizations and local firms all turn with increasingly frequency to our industry for the answers to their tough questions - questions about best practices, strategy, technology, possible risks and achievable rewards. No other organization is better positioned than GALA to serve its members, the industry and the business community at large through this critical period. I see the GALA Board playing a critical role in preparing our members for this growth while facilitating that growth through greater external, broad market visibility and respect. That challenge will require energy, vision, passion and hard work - all of which I would pour into my role on the Board should I be a successful candidate.
