Josep Condal is the Managing Director at ApSIC, a provider of translation, software localization, and testing services based in Barcelona, Spain. ApSIC’s select client base combines some of the most important MLVs with software, hardware, and industrial giants. ApSIC is also the developer of Xbench and Comparator, two freely downloadable quality-oriented tools, heritage from the quality-centric philosophy that drives the company.

His education background is in Industrial Engineering, with the specialization of Industrial Organization. Prior to co-founding ApSIC in 1993, he was already involved in software development for IBM mid-range computers and personal computers in a number of programming languages. His first contacts in the GILT business date back from 1989, after engaging in IBM localization and testing projects when he still was a university student developing computer applications part-time.
