3rd International EUATC Conference in Warsaw October 2007

At the initiative of 2 Polish GALA members - Monika Popiolek of MAart Agency Ltd. and Grzegorz Wójcik of Magit, GALA was present at the 3rd International EUATC Conference held in Warsaw on 4-5 October 2007. The 3rd EUATC (European Union of Associations of Translation Companies) conference, organised by Monika Popiolek and hosted by the PSBT (Polish Association of Translation Companies), focused on enterprise and project management from the global and the local perspective and discussed best strategies and practices for the GILT industry.
Apart from the Polish GALA members (MAart Agency, Magit, Lido-Lang, EuteCert and Studio Gambit) nearly 20 other GALA member companies were represented at the conference. GALA members were also very prominent among the speakers and panellists - Monika Popiolek of MArt Agency moderated the PM Panel, Peter Reynolds of Idiom moderated the Technology Panel; Bob Donaldson of McElroy, Wojtek Kosinski of Lionbridge and Outi Niemensivu of AAC Noodi were speakers. Additionally, Anja Sukkinem of AAC Noodi, Jurek Nedoma of EuteCert, Grzegorz Wójcik of Magit and Marcin Zaremba of MAart Agency all participated in various panels.
GALA member companies were also predominant as sponsors: MultiCorpora & Plunet (Platinum), Idiom (Gold), Alchemy & LTC (Silver) and EuteCert (Bronze).The conference was hailed a great success due to its excellent programme, strong management focus and great networking opportunities. The EUATC Dinner at Fukier Restaurant, where GALA sponsored the cocktails, will remain memorable for the wonderful ambience, beautiful setting and great company.
