GALA Activities at Localization World Bonn
GALA is hosting a number of activities at the Localization World Bonn conference: the GALA Member Meeting, a GALA Marcom Workshop, a 12-member group exhibit, two vendor roundtables, and the conference closing ceremonies.
Monday Night Dinner

We are
organizing an informal opportunity to meet and dine with GALA members.

GALA Member Meeting
Tuesday, May 31
8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The focus of the
meeting will be interaction and input from members on key issues for the
association. In preparation for the meeting, we have an online
discussion on the GALA Networking and Collaboration Bulletin Board
throughout the month of May. Notes from the member meeting will be
posted to the GALA website “documents” section afterwards.
GALA Workshop: Marcom
Tuesday, May 31
2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
In
this client-vendor workshop, top industry panelists will debate their
viewpoints on marketing communications localization. What do clients and
vendors expect from one another? How can both groups improve
communication? Using a lively debate-style format, panelists will tackle
issues related to managing multilingual marcom materials with topics
such as source document authoring, corporate glossaries, translation
validation and web localization. Vendors and clients alike are invited
to participate in this opportunity for open dialog.
GALA Group
Exhibit
A dozen member companies will exhibit in a GALA group
booth. Participating companies include: ACP Traductera (Czech Republic),
Binari Sonori (Italy), Commit (Greece), GAMAX (Hungary), Hitext S.A.
(Belgium), iDisc Information Technologies, S.L. (Spain), Locatech
(Germany), LocTeam, s.l. (Spain), Logrus (Russia), MAGIT (Poland),
Rosario Traducciones (Argentina). Several other GALA members will have
individual exhibits.
Closing Ceremonies
GALA is hosting
the closing remarks. We will have drawings for prizes donated by GALA
members.
