This year, there will be three pre-conference workshops offered for attendees that want to come one day early for additional training. “The ECM Practitioner Training Program” will be presented by the AIIM Association and will focus on ECM components and technologies for managing information throughout its lifecycle. CMS Watch will be offering two workshops: “Portals-Intensive Enterprise Portal Software: Architecture and Products,” which will focus on helping professionals make a decision about specific vendor portal technology, and “Developing Enterprise Taxonomies: A Practical Guide,” a step-by-step approach to crafting enterprise taxonomies.

The exhibit hall will feature vendor face-off sessions as part of the ECM Exchange Theater, presented by DocuLabs and the AIIM Association. In this series of interactive vendor panels, competing ECM suppliers representing a variety of application spaces provide their views on questions posed by attendees, vendor-neutral consultants from Doculabs. Senior representatives from the AIIM Association will also lead an interactive Q&A session focused on a variety of mission-critical user issues...don't miss this important chance to tap the knowledge and expertise of the brightest minds in the business.

A highlight of the exhibit hall will be the Language and Technology Services Pavilion sponsored by GALA. The pavilion will bring Expo participants in contact with cutting-edge products and services that make multilingual content management possible. GALA, along with its member companies, will provide AIIM attendees with a unique opportunity to learn how multilingual content fits into content management strategies as a whole. GALA member companies will present a range of products and services from translation and localization services to technology platforms for managing large volumes of multilingual content. In conjunction with the pavilion, GALA will host a 30-minute presentation entitled “Global Content Management: Creating and Supporting a Global Content Application and Its Surrounding Business Processes” at the Expo's Product Showcase Theater on Tuesday, April 17. This session will be presented by GALA Advisory Council member and the president of Common Sense Advisory, Dr. Don DePalma. DePalma's session will give an overview of core technology requirements for global content management, metadata support for country-language pairs, international consistency requirements, workflow for translation, and the ecosystem surrounding the product, in the brains and business processes of the vendor, its subsidiaries, and the systems integrators.

Lastly, the AIIM exhibit hall will provide the largest industry forum for attendees and approximately 250 leading companies who will be demonstrating the hottest products and technologies. A few of the exhibitors include: Adobe Systems, Canon U.S.A. Inc., DocHarbor, Kodak, Microsoft Corp. and Oracle/Stellent. A complete list of exhibitors can be found here .
