GALA will host the Localization Forum, a group exhibit and the "Localization Chill Zone" at the tcworld conference and Trade Fair 2008 taking place November 5-7 in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The tcworld conference is sponsored by TCeurope, Europe's umbrella organization of associations for technical writers, and organized in cooperation with other international associations such as GALA.
GALA is cooperating with tekom to organize the Localization Forum, a conference track which will feature sessions on the internationalization and localization of products and software – from new language technologies to the management of localization projects including translation management, translation automation, workflow automation and adapting products to the demands of a specific culture or region.
New this year! GALA will be hosting a "Localization Chill Zone." This 44m² area will be a quiet and inviting space outside of the Localization Forum workshop and session rooms. The space is designed to give visitors a place to unwind and take breaks between the sessions as well as promote GALA member companies among the tekom audience.
